Distance learning is like correspondence and it is used to support on-job training.
Distance learning materials are usually workbooks that trainees work through at their own pace and in their own time to complete unit standards.
PaMPITO has a new range of distance learning materials covering plastics processing technology. These new materials include:
- Attractive workbooks full of interesting information about plastics
- A trainers/mentors guide for each unit standard
- An assessment document that takes the trainee through the requirements of the unit standard.
In addition to our own distance learning materials on technical topics, PaMPITO also uses other training providers distance learning materials for some unit standards that are more generic, such as communication skills, health and safety, and engineering.
We have asked our distance learning providers to offer tutorials and proactive support to assist trainees to complete their units.
