PaMPITO Vacancies - April 2012

PaMPITO is growing rapidly as a result of a merger with the Apparel and Textiles Industry training Organisation. We need new staff to help with the increase in training activity in our industry sectors.

Training Services Managers (2 positions)

  • Business development role
  • Develop training solutions to business needs
  • Develop close relationships with business and industry stakeholders
  • Support individuals to achieve their training and career goals

Ideally you’ll have a strong understanding of our new sectors: apparel and textil manufacturing and laundry and dry cleaning. You will work closely with our client companies to:

  • Identify their training needs
  • Find solutions to those needs
  • Implement training initiatives
  • Support employees and apprentices to complete their qualifications and training programmes.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Able to develop rapport with people at all levels in a business to increase up-take of training initiatives
  • Be well organised, a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
  • Be professional with excellent oral and written skills
  • Keep accurate records
  • An understanding of the apparel, textile, laundry and dry-cleaning sectors would be an advantage
  • You'll have a strong understanding of apprenticeship training and workplace training in a manufacturing setting
  • A clean full driver licence as travel within New Zealand is required.
